Few niches are as competitive and challenging as the moving industry. Allied Van Lines knows this all too well. For years, they have been competing against many other well established moving companies.

The company had earned a long standing reputation as one of the most efficient and unmatched service providers in the moving industry. The problem was their online visibility didn’t match their long standing reputation.

Past vendors strategies had left Allied Van Lines in a precarious position in dealing with:

The Solution

HigherVisibility sought out to reinvigorate Allied Van Lines confidence in working with an SEO agency by ensuring a transparent process and strategy throughout.

The following tactics were employed in the comprehensive strategy:

  • We began by conducting a complete On-Page Technical Audit, detailing any and all issues plaguing the website from performing at its true potential.
  • Knowing that previous firms had dabbled in link building activities that were looked down upon, we audited the backlink profile to identify any links that had the potential to cause further harm to the website and disavowed them.
  • Oftentimes, sites that have had link based issues in the past aggressively disavow links that provide value. Based on our experience we also analyzed the current disavow files to ensure high quality links were not being disavowed. To our amazement, we were able to find numerous links that were of great authority and removed them from the disavow file to get them reinstated.
  • After cleaning up the link profile, our attention then turned to building back up the authority of the website by employing a link building campaign. This included competitive research, ideation of assets, & the creation of link magnets to then perform an extensive outreach program around.
  • One of the larger issues impacting the website was the amount of low quality & thin content throughout. We started an intense content development campaign to create copy that better aligned with the website users intent.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: We have been able to continuously test numerous aspects of the website and provide proven methods that increased conversions. Some of those include: A/B testing form fields, CTA button colors, Heat Mapping CTA’s positioning, and messaging.
  • Helped lead Allied Van Lines through the SEO implications & strategy of a website redesign. The previous design had become outdated and needed a refreshed appearance to better align with Allied position in the marketplace.
  • Throughout the entire process, we conducted weekly status calls to ensure both the Allied Van Lines and the HigherVisibility teams were working in conjunction. This enabled everyone the transparency and understanding to know how things were performing.
