As everyone knows, the internet moves fast in most cases, and if you not on board and ready to move with it, you will be left behind.
For the past 2 years, at internet conferences and seminars, the buzz has been “updating your websites to a more Web
2.0 look and feel”, or “move your companies marketing to a more Web 2.0 environment”. For those of you that are still working on that, I’m here to tell you to “STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING”! For 2010, you need to be on the Web 3.0 path.
Web 3.0 is simple. Make your services and goods available to everyone at anytime. We are now in the world that people don’t care about their personal privacy or even yours. People want to know what your doing when you’re doing it.
Take Twitter for instantness. Did you know that there are companies that give “tweeters” money just to post something about their products. Sponsored Tweets offers money to “tweeters” for spreading the word. I personally think this is one reason why not to have a Twitter account. Recently, I even heard of celebrities plugging their sponsored products to their followers. No thank you, I see the commercials, I don’t need it on my phone.
Here are some Web 3.0 trends to be on the watch for in 2010…
- Mobile Applications and Marketing
- Map Programs
- Personal Organizers
- Collaboration
- Audio Advertising
- More Social Media Advertising
- Online Video Advertising
