A recent report showed, PPC spending increased 11% in Q1 2010 compared to the first quarter of 2009, thus making this the strongest quarter for paid search since the fourth quarter of 2008.
The retail and travel sectors drove much of the growth in paid search, with spend from those verticals up 26% and 9% year-over-year. For retailers, this marked the fifth straight quarter of PPC spend increases.
